The Ultimate Fate of the Universe - Queries & Theories - Big Crunch? Multiverse that never ends?
This section of Perpendicularity.org speaks about the cosmological queries & theories of the ultimate
fate of
the universe.  Will it be the "Big Crunch" or is it all a big Multiverse with endless possibilities or
what?  Yeah, such a lame topic, eh?  Ha!  Just kidding...

If you landed here by mistake and don't want to read any of my ramblings on the subject, but would
prefer the Wikipedia version, that's fine, as I'll give a link to that page in a moment.  Anyway, their highly
elaborate Wiki page starts off saying how the ultimate fate of the universe is a topic in physical
cosmology (Really?  I never would have guessed that!  LOL!) and how many possible fates are predicted
by rival scientific theories, including futures of both finite and infinite duration. (Well, that's the
concept!)

It also states that "once the notion that the universe started with a rapid inflation nicknamed the Big
Bang became accepted by the majority of scientists, the ultimate fate of the universe became a valid
cosmological question, one depending upon the physical properties of the mass/energy in the
universe, its average density, and the rate of expansion."
...All jokes set aside, it was a very detailed page that covered many subjects, such as the role of the
shape of the universe (whether it is closed, open, flat, etc.), along with many theories concerning the
end of the universe, like:  Big Freeze, Big Rip, Big Crunch, Big Bounce (dang, everything is "Big," oh
yeah, it is the universe we are talking about; ha!) and whether or not it never ends due to the
Multiverse theory.  The page also talks about a "false vacuum" and the cosmological uncertainty of it
all.  I know this isn't suppose to be a funny subject, but in a way, all of these various theories are quite
entertaining.

At any cosmic rate, if you would like to visit the page, go here:

Now, if you'd like to read some of the semi-related pages that I have wrote, check out the ones below:

Can you see or sense anything outside of this 3 dimensional realm?

Well, I'm getting way off track here, with all of these resource links.  I was going to write a page about
the "ultimate fate of the universe," and provide a few of my opinions about some of the theories &
queries out there, but I've changed my mind.  I think that if anyone who is interested in this
cosmological topic of mental perplexity, that checks out the links provided above along with their own
web searches, they can draw their own confusion, oops, I mean conclusion.  I was going to mainly
concentrate on the Multiverse theory and the Big Crunch idea, but I have mentioned these subjects
before, on other blog posts.  Hmm... Maybe I should just
buy a telescope online and get into astronomy,
instead...

Hell, maybe you're ready to just scratch the whole notion and would prefer this particular page that
updates daily:  "
Daily Tidbits & Word Games."
